I love Nancy Bush. She has some fabulous patterns including socks, gloves, hand-warmers, and of course shawls.

This particular little gem is called Crown Prince Square Shawl. It is available in Nancy's book Knitted Lace of Estonia. I think it is beautiful. I love the large X's around the border and I do love how big this shawl is. It is very regal and I think it would make a great addition to my wedding day. I still haven't made a final decision on which shawl to knit, but this is definitely in the running!

Have you knit a shawl for your wedding? Which pattern did you pick?

Happy Knitting!

My quest continues!

This shawl is by Rosemary Hill. It's called Fiori di SoleI. love the large leaf details at the shoulder and the flower like lace along the trim. I also love how large this shawl is. I think it could be perfect for a wedding.

A shawl is no small project. It is a serious commitment. Knowing how much time will be spent with a pattern when making a shawl, one does not pick a pattern lightly.

I want to make myself a shawl for my wedding this summer and I'm in the process finding a pattern that I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time with. Here is one of my picks. It's called the Elizabeth Shawl by Dee O'Keefe. It's a square shawl and I think it's stunning! As much as I love the green, I think I would stick to traditional white. It's available as a $5.00 Ravelry download.

Knitters often get caught up creating beautiful gifts for others, especially around the holidays. Fortunately, now that we're past that glorious time of year, knitters a free to browse patterns with themselves in mind.

Emily came across Ease by Alicia Plummer and showed me last night. I cannot get this wonderful sweater out of my mind! I NEED to make this!

I went on Knitpicks his morning to peruse yarn options. I'm in love with the new Chroma colours but also thought maybe a cotton blend in Shine for the summer or verrigated in Swish Tonal for the fall/winter. I can't decide but that's not going to stop me! Maybe I make more than one?

Happy Personal Knitting!
