How fun is it to open a little gift each day?
This advent calendar hat (aka Hatvent) is designed to bring peace, tranquility, and a little fun to your holiday season.
The knitter will open a 3g ball of fingering weight yarn over 24 days in December, with, hopefully, a hot beverage in hand and cozy slippers on their feet, to knit on a project that has been thoughtfully curated either by themselves or a knitter friend.
Starting at the brim the pattern will lead them through what they need to ensure a perfect hat in the end.
The Hatvent is one size, fitting most heads, with a finished size of 18” with lots of stretch.
This pattern requires;
24 -3g balls of fingering weight yarn
4mm needles or size appropriate to the individual knitter for knitting a DK weight hat.

This pair of fingerless gloves is inspired by a witch in flight. I imagine witches not wearing long sleeves because they would dip into cauldrons while stirring potions or get in the way while dueling. Therefore, witches would need a fingerless mitt to keep their arms warm in flight. Knit from fingertips down to adjust the length for the individual witch, and a six stitch repeat of diamonds with woven pattern on the palms for grip on her broomstick; these fingerless gloves are perfect for a witch in flight in search of trick or treaters to steal their essence or turn into mice.
Gloves are one size, fitting an average female hand. Pattern is a 6 stitch repeat and could be adjusted for larger hands.
Gauge is 28sts/4in in diamond pattern. The designer knit at stockinette swatch at 24sts/4in to compare.
Pattern requires approximately 60g (255 yds)
of fingering weight yarn for gauntlet length gloves.

This toque is inspired by the first spring blooms to burst through the snow and open to face the sun, the hellebore. It’s emergence signaling longer days and a new beginning. The toque is knit from the top down gently forming the shape of the bloom while the crown increases mirror the overlapping petals of the hellebore blossoms. A cozy folded brim keeps out the winter chill that lingers on the early spring breeze keeps you snug, and warm on those inaugural spring walks.

S/M comfortably fits heads 16” to 22” circumference (S/M is modeled on a 22” head)
